Prayer Progression across Our Lady of Lourdes
The Gift Team at Our Lady of Lourdes have a very active role in helping our school community grow in faith together. At the beginning of each week they lead (working closely alongside the RE Leader) a celebration of the word liturgy from the Sunday Gospel.
They are active throughout the week within their own classes and around school supporting the Catholic life of the school. The children actively support the Prayer areas in the classroom and the RE displays around school. Our Gift Term are also going to assist with the work we are starting with Caritas in Summer Term 2.
Each Term they attend a retreat day run by our local secondary school Mount St. Joseph’s, as part of BOSCEP schools working together. This is also with other feeder schools for our area. This helps us in the delivery of our future liturgies as we have had time to reflect and discuss our future plans in order to assist our children and staff on their own individual faith journey.
